The News Minute | March 18, 2015 | 3:25 pm IST As the apparent suicide of IAS officer DK Ravi has triggered much debate in the state, an online petition on Change.Org, "Make CBI probe on mysterious death of IAS officer DK Ravi", has been gaining signatures at a rapid pace. Within two days of his death, Ravi's reputation for being an upright officer who went after sand mining and land mafia in the Kolar district has gained the petition more than one lakh signatures. Read - Whistle-blower to TNM on DK Ravi's death: He called me last week to help pin down two builders The petition talks about a few of  Ravi's endeavors and adds that his suicide was 'fishy' while demanding justice to the IAS officer and his family.  A man known to have taken on the land and sand mafia fearlessly, Ravi's death has triggered off protests inside the Karnataka assembly and on the streets with the people of Kolar grieving the most. In the last few weeks, Enforcement Directorate teams lead by Ravi raided prominent builders and real estate sharks.
