The NTR biopic is the most anticipated film, no doubt. Directed by Krish, it has N Balakrishna playing the lead role, that is, he will be playing his dad, the legendary actor and politician, NT Rama Rao, in the reel. The biopic is Balayya’s dream project and he has put in a lot of efforts to get it rolling. Incidentally, he is also one of the producers of the film. The biopic is scheduled for release next January and will be released in two parts - NTR – Kathanayakudu January 9 and NTR – Mahanayakudu on January 24.
With the release date nearing, the pre-release business of both the films is happening at a brisk pace. According to trade circles, the area rights of both NTR – Kathanayakudu and NTR – Mahanayakudu are being sold out like hot cakes. Sources in the know say that it rights for the US region have fetched its makers about Rs 19.80 crore.
The NTR biopic went on the floors in July this year and the shooting is under progress. The film will be released in two parts as – NTR Kathanayakudu and NTR Mahanayakudu – highlighting both his film and political career. The NTR biopic is being helmed by J Krish and produced jointly N Balakrishna along with Vishnu Induri and Sai Korrapati. It has an impressive star cast with Vidya Balan, Mohan Babu, Sumanth, Keerthy Suresh, Rana Daggubati and others.
N Balakrishna will be seen playing his dad NTR in the film, and it will have Sumanth playing Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Vidya Balan as NTR’s wife Basvatharakam, and Rana Daggubati as N Chandrababu Naidu. MM Keeravani is composing music for this venture with Gnana Shekar V.S cranking the camera and Arram Ramakrishna editing it.
