HMD Global, the current owner of the Nokia brand has made a soft-launch of its next smartphone offering in India, the Nokia 6.2. The phone is already available for sale on the Amazon India ecommerce platform and sale has commenced.

Nokia has positioned this device in the middle segment and has a 6.3inch full HD+ display that is called PureDisplay with a waterdrop notch on the front screen. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The same Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection is provided to the rear panel as well, that has been constructed with a composite polymer.

A Qualcomm Snapdragon 636SoC is the processor under the hood of this Nokia 6.2 device and gets a RAM support of 4GB. 64GB is the onboard storage. A provision for microSD card exists as well. The operating system is the Android Pie, but under the Android One programme and is bound to get the upgrade to the Android 10 OS soon. That could be this phone’s USP.

When you come to the rear panel, the fingerprint sensor can be seen below the cameras. The rear camera setup is a triple-shooter one with a 16MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 5MP depth sensor. The front camera for selfies is an 8MP shooter.

The battery is a decent 3,500mAh.

You can buy the Nokia 6.2 on Amazon at Rs 15,999 Starting Friday. Though Nokia 6.2 has 32GB RAM and 128GB storage variants it has chosen to launch only the 4GB+64GB variant in India. Similarly, there is only one colour option being launched: Ceramic Black.
