Actor Amala Paul is known for her chutzpah online. And now, the actor has posted a picture on her Instagram, showing off an injury she obtained when she was doing a stunt for Adho Andha Paravai Pola.

Amala had previously told TNM that the film will show a side to her that not many are familiar with. She had added that she enjoyed performing her own stunts, like a woman, and not imitating male heroes. Amala has reportedly not used a body double for doing her stunts and has insisted on performing them by herself.

In her Instagram post, Amala said, "A famous proverb goes 'No hero without a wound', I took it seriously, so now with a broken arm." The actor further thanked her fans for their wishes, noting that her hand would heal faster because of them. She also posted a tongue-in-cheek remark about typing with auto-correct.

Amala has sustained a ligament tear. In Adho Andha Paravai Pola, directed by Vinoth, Amala plays a woman activist who gets lost in the jungle. Most of the shoot for the film is done and they have only a few small schedules left to cover.

“I never thought any movie could break Mynaa’s record, but Adho Andha Paravai Pola (AAPP) just broke that in terms of the effort that had to be put in. It’s a story about a woman activist who gets lost in the jungle, and the surprises that spring up on her way out. I knew it right from the narration that this would be an interesting project to take up, for this is the kind of film that I would love to see onscreen. I’ve even done all the stunts on my own,” she had told TNM.

Amala is also busy in the Malayalam film industry, where she is shooting for Aadujeevitham along with Prithviraj. She has also signed Aadai with director Rathna Kumar in Tamil.
