Kannada stars Sudeep and Darshan were the best of friends until a few months ago but they parted ways owing to certain misunderstanding. While Darshan did indicate that his friendship with Sudeep has ended, the latter seems to be in the reconciliation mode. Sudeep’s recent tweet signifies that they may be friends again soon. Sudeep, while praising the entire Kurukshetra team said that no actor other than Darshan can do justice to the role in the film.

He tweeted, “It's awesome to see a huge cinema (in all aspects) going on floor… My best wshs to producer MuniRatna & the entire team of kurukshetra.” He went on to add “(Contd) n it surely Wil b another feather in the cap to Darshan... Only he can justify this role wth his personality n presence. Best wshs.”

Kurukshetra, which happens to be Darshan’s 50th film, is reportedly based on the epic Mahabharata. Produced by Muni Ratna, the film is being helmed by Naganna. It is worth noting that Darshan and Naganna had teamed up for Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna, which went on to become a big hit.

Kurukshetra was supposed to go on the floors several weeks ago but it was delayed due to various reasons. The filmmakers are in the process of assembling the star cast and some biggies are expected to join in with Darshan playing pivotal roles.

The historical went on the floors on August 6 with Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah giving the first shot. The event was held at Dr. Prabhakar Kore Convention Centre in Bengaluru and was attended by film stars and politicians including Darshan, Ravichandran, Ambareesh, Ravishankar, Rockline Venkatesh, Arjun Sarja, Shashikumar, Nikhil Kumar, and Hariprriya.
