Nivin Pauly and Nayanthara will soon be seen sharing screen space in the Dhyan Sreenivasan directorial Love Action Drama. Incidentally, this will be the first time they are pairing up on screen.
The project, which was initially slated to go on floors in October 2017, got postponed due to some call sheet issues. Later, the shooting of this film was supposed to commence in April this year but there is a change in schedule now, according to the director. From what we hear from the director, it is clear that the shooting of Love Action Drama would commence in May. Nivin Pauly has gained some extra weight for his titular role in Rosshan Andrrews' period film Kayamkulam Kochunni and he will have to shed a few kilos to play the character. Further, Nivin had also suffered an injury on the sets of Kayamkulam Kochunni.
The actor, while shooting a stunt sequence for the film, suffered a minor fracture in the hand and has been advised rest by his doctors for the next couple of weeks. Following this, he will be out of action for two weeks and this has forced the makers of Love Action Drama to modify their schedule.
Director Dhyan Sreenivasan is in the process of finalising the rest of the star cast for the film and has signed up Aju Varghese and Urvashi for pivotal roles. The director has reportedly said that some more actors will be joining the star cast soon and that an official announcement will be made once things are finalised.
On Love Action Drama, Dhyan Sreenivsan had said in an interview to the Times of India much earlier, “It’s a modern day take on Vadakkunokkiyanthram. Even though Nivin’s character will have a few similarities to the Dineshan of the yesteryear movie, it’s totally unrelated to the 1989 film.”
Dhyan Sreenivsan made his debut as an actor in Thira, which was directed by his brother Vineeth Sreenivasan. He has acted in a few films since then and Love Action Drama will be his first directorial.
