Even as the row in the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi continues, a video of JNU student leader Kanhaiya Kumar is being circulated on social media and even some English and Hindi channels.

While the channels claimed that he had raised 'Azaadi' slogans, it was alleged that the leader had raised slogans of azaadi for Kashmir from India. However, the new video suggests otherwise.

Uploaded by ABP News, the channel claims that there were no anti-national slogans at the rally as they had footage of the entire incident.

report in ABP News adds:

He was shouting slogans with a lot of energy and scores of students were following him. However, he never said anything bad about the country. He said in his slogans that he wanted freedom from poverty, freedom for communal blood-shed, freedom from social disparity. He never even raised any anti-India slogan.

The video was shot on February 11 when Kanhaiya was addressing students on the campus. This was the same day when he had made a speech about the constitution, a video of which went viral earlier.

Here is the video.
