The News Minute | December 30, 2014 | 1.35 pm IST Malayalam script writer cum actor Sreenivasan has finally retorted to criticism on his movies and has said that the people who hate his movies have serious problems, that the idea behind his movies may have assaulted them. The satirical actor was responding to controversies over director Rajeev Ravi’s hate comments about him. “Some new generation film makers can work only with the help of cannabis. Police should arrest them, since the usage of drugs are banned. These film makers think that they are doing something great. No one becomes a filmmaker by making movies, simply under the influence of narcotics,” Sreenivasan indirectly taunted Rajeev Ravi in a chat show at IndiaVision on Monday. He has also added that these people will demolish Malayalam film industry. Sreenivasan lashed out at the film maker cum cinematographer in a roundabout way and said that some of the new film makers have a wrong notion that they are intellectuals. Earlier, Rajeev Ravi in an interview given to South Live had said that he hates movies scripted by Sreenivasan as they always target middle class men, for monetary benefits. He also said in the interview that he doesn’t believe the idea of scripts and scripts should be burnt before making a movie. Following this, irked by the criticism on their father Vineeth Srinivasan and Dhyan Sreenivasan had reacted through Facebook posts against Rajeev Ravi.
