Post the success of films such as Maya and Naanum Rowdydhaan, Nayanthara is being careful about her career and selecting interesting films. From playing a collector in a yet-untitled project to teaming up with Sivakarthikeyan and playing the lead in a thriller, she’s been playing her cards very smartly. She’s now teaming up with actor Atharvaa in a project titled Imaikaa Nodigal, which stars Atharvaa in the lead.
Director Ajay Gnanamuthu, in a chat with Sify.com revealed that the film has a very strong protagonist and he could only think of Nayanthara after completing the script. Upon hearing the narration, she immediately jumped at the opportunity and Ajay says that she hasn’t done such a role in her career so far.
A romantic action-thriller, the project will be bankrolled by Cameo Films India, and will feature cinematography by R.D Rajasekhar. The makers are in talks with a leading composer and plan to make the official announcement soon. The regular shooting of the project will commence in October.
