Just as two of her Tamil movies are running in theatres and being appreciated by viewers of Tamil cinema, including those in Kerala, Nayanthara has decided to act in two Malayalam movies, we hear.
She will be seen in Kottayam Kurbana and Love Action Drama.
Nayanthara, who made her debut in Mollywood 15 years ago with Manasinakkare, would come off and on in Malayalam movies and there has been a small gap now. The last Malayalam movie Nayanthara was seen in is Puthiya Niyamam opposite senior actor Mammootty. Apparently, she has been too busy with Telugu and Tamil movies.
Kottayam Kurbana is a comic caper that is directed by Mahesh Vettiyar. The film’s shooting is currently reaching its final stages and it is expected to hit the silver screens next month.
Love Action Drama will mark actor Dhyan Sreenivasan’s debut as director and will have Nivin Pauly playing the lead role, opposite Nayanthara.
The film also has Sreenivasan, Urvasi, Aju Varghese, Dhanya Balakrishnan and director Antony Joseph, playing pivotal roles in it. Dhyan has roped in a strong technical team for the project. Shaan Rahman is the music composer for this flick while the lyrics have been penned by Dhyan’s brother Vineeth Sreenivasan. Sreenivas Reddy is cranking the camera and the editing is done by Vivek Harshan with art direction being taken care of by Ajay Mangadu. The film will be shot extensively in Chennai, Bengaluru and Kochi.
Meanwhile, Nayanthara’s last two releases in Tamil – Kolamavu Kokila and Imaikkaa Nodigal – too have been doing well with much appreciation coming for the actor’s performance.
She also has quite a few other prestigious offers in her kitty and that includes the Ajith starrer Viswaasam directed by Siva in Tamil, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy starring Chiranjeevi and directed by Surendhar Reddy in Telugu, Kolaiyuthir Kaalam directed by Chakri Toleti in Tamil, among others.
