Nani is one of the top-ranking actors in the Telugu film industry but that has not deterred him from making a guest appearance in a short film. Titled Ananganaga Oka Nanna, the story revolves around a girl child and her father. Deepthi Ganta is directing the film, which is bankrolled by Nani’s home production. Apart from directing the short film, Deepthi also penned the script. Nani’s guest appearance will be towards the end of this 15-minute short film and very crucial, we hear.

It may be recalled here that Nani bankrolled his maiden film D for Dopidi in 2013, which turned out to be a hit. His last outing as a producer was with Awe last year.

Currently, Nani is busy with his acting assignment for Gang Leader. The shooting of this film is on after a short break owing to an injury Nani suffered on the sets. The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravishankar, Mohan under the banner Mythri Movie Makers with Vikram K Kumar wielding the megaphone. Anirudh is composing music for Gang Leader. We hear that the filmmakers are planning to complete the entire schedule by June 30 to keep up with the planned release date, which is August 30.

Ever since it was announced that the film is titled Gang Leader, netizens, particularly mega star Chiranjeevi’s fans, have been discussing the suitability of the title for a Nani starrer. Gang Leader is the title of one of the biggest hits that had Chiranjeevi as its main lead, therefore, his fans feel that it should be used for his son Ram Charan Teja’s films.

Meanwhile, there are reports that the star will be donning the greasepaint in a film to be made under KS Rama Rao’s banner Creative Commercials. The producer and actor are currently in the process of roping in a director with an excellent script for the project but they haven’t signed up anyone yet. Sources in the know say that they have a few directors in mind and will be announcing the name soon.
