Acclaimed filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma and the dashing Nagarjuna are teaming up after nearly two and half decades and this has upped the expectation levels for the film. They first worked together in the Telugu film Shiva, released in 1989, RGV’s first film, which was a huge blockbuster. And later they collaborated for its Hindi version as well. The duo then teamed up for the bilingual Antham / Drohi made in Telugu and Hindi. After this, they did not get an opportunity to work together again.

After 15 years, RGV has got an opportunity to direct Nagarjuna and the film went on to the floors late last month.

With the first schedule of the shooting wrapped up successfully, the team has gone on a break as the lead star, Nag is busy concentrating on his upcoming production venture Hello, second film of son Akhil Akkineni being directed by Vikram Kumar of 24 and Manam fame.

In the meantime, we hear from sources that director RGV has registered two titles for his upcoming film with Nag. And the two titles are reportedly Gun and System. We hear that Nagarjuna is keen on the title Gun as the film is touted to be an intense cop entertainer with high-octane action sequences.

Reports are that the title of the film will be announced officially soon and until then we cannot draw any conclusions. Pairing up with Nagarjuna in this flick happens to be Myra Sareen.

The shooting of this yet to be titled film is happening at a fast pace as the makers are planning for its release sometime in summer next year.

Nagarjuna’s last film Raju Gari Gadhi – 2 was an average hit. The film also had Samantha playing a key role in the movie. The film was directed by Ohmkar and produced by PVP.
