In the wake of recent allegations in the Solar scam, Kerala CM Oommen Chandy’s son Chandy Oommen has refused to address the claims made by co-accused Saritha Nair.
He posted the following on his Facebook.
“’They may torture my body, break my bones, even kill me. Then they will have my dead body, but not my obedience’ - Mahatma Gandhi.
I drew comfort from these words over the last three days when wild allegations have been leveled against me, all over again, duly covered by the media, all over again !
Despite deep provocation and many calls of deep concern from friends, associates and well wishers, I have chosen to remain silent.
I believe that my silence is the perfect response to the wild statements that do not even deserve a denial from my end. My well wishers are aware that I have or never had any interest in solar or any other business concern.
There is a due process of law that is presently underway and all of us have to respect the same. Attempts by individuals with questionable character, to undermine its sanctity requires a response which is enshrined within the process of law.
Truth always stands the test of time and it will be no different this time!"
Last week, adding more twists to the tale, Saritha had said that the CM had asked her to form a company with his son. She also alleged that Chandy Oommen was in an intimate relationship with another female co-accused in the case and also accompanied this woman to Dubai.
She further said that she will furnish more evidence before the probe panel that will establish her claims.
