If at all you thought masturbation to be less troublesome than sex, you’re in for major disappointment according to a Turkish televangelist. If you believe him, it's not just getting your girlfriend or wife pregnant you have to be worried about.
The Turkish social media went bonkers on May 24 after a televangelist claimed that men who masturbate will find their hands pregnant in the afterlife. Not just that, the “pregnant hand” will approach God “asking for its rights,” said Mucahid Cihad Han.
According to a report by the Turkish Hurriyet Daily News, Han, a self-styled televangelist was answering questions on private television station 2000 TV when a viewer said that he “kept masturbating, although he was married, and even during the Umrah,” a pilgrimage to Mecca performed by Muslims. Han then persuaded the viewer that masturbation is considered haram (a forbidden act) in Islam, and that the “Satan’s temptations” must be resisted.
“Moreover, one hadith states that those who have sexual intercourse with their hands will find their hands pregnant in the afterlife, complaining against them to God over its rights,” Han said, apparently referring to a saying he claimed to be that of Prophet Muhammad.
He further added, “‘If our viewer was single, I could recommend he marry, but what can I say now?”
Han’s proclamation did not go unnoticed by the social media. As there is little clarity over the right and wrong of masturbation according to Islam, users criticized Han for manipulating religion.
Viewers also took to Twitter to address some of their concerns.

Users seem to have already found loopholes to Han’s "prophecy". While one suggested wearing gloves, the other suggested the use of condoms. Another pointed out that using a vibrator would solve the whole problem.
