Mohanlal may soon be teaming up with director Bhadran for a road movie. Reports are that the actor will be playing a 57-year-old lorry driver travelling across the country for his work. He will also be a multi-linguist fluent in several languages. More details about this film including the cast and crew will be revealed soon, we hear.

Mohanlal’s first association with Bhadran was with Ente Mohangal Poovaninju in 1982. The duo then went on to work in films like Changatham, Poomukhappadiyil Ninneyum Kathu, Uncle Bun, Sphadikam, Olympiyan Anthony Adam, and Udayon. They will be working together after a decade and a half.

In the meantime, Mohanlal will be completing a slew of films which are in different stages of production. He has Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham waiting for release next year. It is currently in the post-production stage. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film has Mohanlal playing the title role. It is based on the true-life of Kunjali Marakkar IV, who is the most popular of the Marakkars. Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, made on a budget of Rs 100 crore, is produced jointly by Antony Perumbavoor, Santhosh T Kuruvilla and CJ Roy under their respective banners Aashirvad Cinemas, Confident Group and Moonshot Entertainment.  

Mohanlal is currently busy shooting for the film Big Brother. The film, directed by Siddique, has Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan, Anoop Menon, Sarjano Khalid, Satna Titus and others in the cast. While Mohanlal, Anoop Menon and Sarjano Khalid play brothers in this flick, Arbaaz will be seen as a police officer. Big Brother is expected to hit the silver screens this year.

He also has a film to be directed by Vinayan, based on Ramayana. The story will be said from Ravana's perspective, Vinayan revealed in an interview earlier. The film is expected to go on the floors next year.
