Governor of Missouri Jay Nixon on Monday lifted the overnight curfew he imposed on this St. Louis suburb, that has been torn apart by protests over the fatal police shooting of Michael Brown, an unarmed black teenager. The arrival of the National Guard will restore peace is what the Governor hopes.

Michael Brown’s mother Lesley Brown spoke to ABC news and asked for the arrest of Darren Wilson, a white police officer who shot dead Michael.

When the ABC anchor asked how peace can be restored, Lesley Brown replied, ‘with justice’. She later added that justice means arresting the police officer who shot her son dead and making him accountable for his actions.

Earlier, The New York Times accessed a preliminary private autopsy performed on Sunday which said that Michael Brown was shot at least six times, including twice in the head. The autopsy said, ‘One of the bullets entered the top of Mr. Brown’s skull, suggesting his head was bent forward when it struck him and caused a fatal injury.’

The autopsy reveals that Brown was shot at four times on his arm and the bullets did not appear to have been shot from very close range.

The US Justice department is all set to conduct its own autopsy even as protests increase in Ferguson and other areas.

Benjamin L. Crump, a lawyer for Mr. Brown’s family told New York Times, “The sheer number of bullets and the way they were scattered all over his body showed this police officer had a brazen disregard for the very people he was supposed to protect in that community.”

Eighteen year old Michael Brown was shot dead on August 9 by Ferguson police as he was walking home from a convenience store with a friend.

Brown’s death has been shrouded in many controversies with the police claiming he was wanted in a store robbery case just before the fatal shooting, later police clarified that the officer who shot Brown down did not know about the robbery.
