The Kannada film Roberrt, starring Darshan in the lead, is progressing well. Recently, the first look poster of the film was unveiled and received a good response from film buffs. The poster shows the rear view of Darshan riding a bike and several two-wheeler to huge vehicles in the distance coming towards him. The actor is seen wearing a black jacket with the logo of an elephant with what appears to be wings. The number plate of the bike – KA 19 D 8055 (BOSS) – reads DBOSS, the title Darshan’s fans have given him.

And now there is a buzz about the heroine for this project. While there were reports that former Miss World and Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai will be starring in the film opposite Darshan, it was later dismissed as rumours. The latest buzz is that Mehreen Pirzada will be roped in for the role. If this happens, it will mark her debut in Sandalwood.

Roberrt is directed by Tharun Sudhir and he confirmed that M Chandramouli, one of the dialogue writers for the smash hit film KGF: Chapter 1, will be working with another writer, Rajshekar KL, to pen the dialogues for Roberrt. Rajshekar KL is well-known for his work in Amma I Love You and Victory 2.

The shooting for Roberrt began at the Kanteerava Studio in Bengaluru. Sources close to the film unit say that the filmmakers have entered into a non-disclosure agreement with the team members and have banned the usage of mobile phones on the sets to ensure that no pics or videos are leaked unofficially.

When the film was announced, it was revealed that Darshan’s character in it is named Roberrt, but the director put an end to all guesswork and clarified that the character will have nothing to do with the star’s cameo role in Chowka. With the shooting of Roberrt underway, we can expect its release later this year.
