When in Tirunelveli make halwa, obviously!
Former Australian cricketer Matthew Hayden swapped his cricketing whites for a a veshti and traded his bat in for a ladle in the southern Tamil Nadu town of Tirunelveli.
Tweeting about his halwa-making experience, Hayden said "Met the real star of Tirunelveli today Mr & Mrs Halwa.”
The former opening batsman's southern sojourn also included a visit to the Meenakshi temple in Madurai.
Matthew Hayden is the brand ambassador of Tamil Nadu Premier League.
