What do roads, drains, love, gas, dowry, poverty, mid-day meals have in common? In India, they can all kill you.
This video, a desi rendition of the popular 2012 video ‘Dumb Ways to Die’, is a satirical take on all the crazy reasons people get killed in India, some preventable, and some engineered. Open drains, for instance are totally avoidable and yet they claim lives. Regardless of whether they are engineered or not, riots have claimed thousands of lives in this country for decades. Dowry-related assaults, acid attacks, sexual assaults totally engineered.

The original video – with balloon-shaped characters doing silly, things that could get you killed – was released as a safety awareness initiative by the Melbourne metro in 2012.
The desi version is not the only adaptation of the video however. The Game of Thrones adaptation will give you a nice little recap of everyone who has died (and how) in the first four seasons.
