A manager at the controversial Pandalam-based Sreevalsam group was found hanging at his house in Haripad, Alappuzha district on Thursday.

According to the police, Krishnan (63), had informed his mother-in-law that he will commit suicide.

T Manoj, circle inspector, Haripad told The Times of India that though his mother-in-law had sent a few relatives to his house, he was not ready to go with them.

“He was alone at the house as his wife was away. Around 10 pm, he informed his mother-in-law and by 11.30 he was found hanging from a plastic rope in the house. There was no suicide note,” said the police officer.

“His brother is in Nagaland and he wanted to see Krishnan’s body before post-mortem. After that we would send the body for autopsy. As of now we assume that it was a suicide,” CI added.

Krishnan’s wife Radhamani and his brother also work for the Sreevalsom group.

Radhamani is the manager of the group and Krishnan is the manager of the bar hotel owned by the group.
