Actor Prithviraj’s debut directorial Lucifer has an impressive list of stars in the cast, with Mohanlal playing the lead, and the latest we hear is that Mamta Mohandas is also a part of the film. Though there is no official report on her inclusion, sources in the know say that she has a pivotal role to play and Prithviraj has signed her up for it. Prithviraj and Mamta Mohandas have earlier worked together, most recently seen sharing screen space in the sci fi thriller Nine / 9. Earlier they have come together in movies like Anwar and Celluloid.

Lucifer has actors Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith, and the Bollywood star Vivek Oberoi in pivotal roles. Those in supporting roles include actors Kalabhavan Shajon, Sai Kumar, Saniya Iyappan, Sunil Sughatha, Thara Kalyan, Praveena Thomas, Nyla Usha, Mala Parvathy director Fazil.

Sujith Vaassudev, who has earlier directed the Prithviraj starrer James and Alice, is doing the cinematography of Lucifer and Samjith is doing the editing. The musician known for his keytar performances - Stephen Devassy - is in charge of the music of the film. Veteran writer and actor Murali Gopy has penned the script for Lucifer which is touted to be a political thriller. Apparently, Mohanlal plays a politician and his character is named Stephen Nedumballi. The film is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner Aashirvad Cinemas.

Lucifer has been shot in Mumbai and in various places in Kerala including Ernakulam, Idukki and Thiruvananthapuram. Some important portions were also canned in Lakshadweep and Russia. The film is in postproduction stage and is expected to release on March 28.

The team is also keeping up the momentum by releasing the character posters of each actor as a part of the promos. Earlier posters have shown Mohanlal in the white garbs of a politician.
