Looks like there’s a biggie on cards. Reports are that a film with the Malayalam megastar Mammootty, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi is taking shape. While no further details about the director, crew or rest of the star cast are available at this point of time, we hear that it will be a bilingual made in Malayalam and Tamil.

Interestingly, Vijay Sethupathi is all set to make his debut in the Malayalam film industry with Marconi Mathai. In the film, directed by Sanil Kalathil, Jayaram is playing an ex-army man working as a security guard in a bank. Reports are that the radio plays a pivotal character in the film and Marconi stands for its inventor Guglielmo Marconi. Vijay Sethupathi is reportedly playing himself in the film. The first looker and teaser of this entertainer were released recently.

Mammootty, meanwhile, is busy with the historical Maamaankam. Made on a budget of Rs 50 crore, Maamaankam is a historical based on a medieval fair for warriors. Another film he is now busy with is Ganagandharvan, directed by comedian turned filmmaker Ramesh Pisharody. There has also been a report that the actor is going to play Kerala Chief Minister in a political film called One, scripted by Bobby and Sanjay. His film Unda, that released last week is getting good reviews on the star’s comeback to playing an ordinary cop with no superhero stunts.

Nayanthara, on the other hand, is expecting the release of the Dhyan Sreenivasan directorial Love Action Drama in Malayalam. It has Nivin Pauly playing the male lead with Sreenivasan, Urvasi, Aju Varghese, Dhanya Balakrishnan and director Antony Joseph, playing pivotal roles. Nayanthara will be seen playing a Palakkad Brahmin girl fluent in both Malayalam and Tamil. Touted to be a complete entertainer, the film is expected to hit the marquee soon.
