Relief has turned to despair for two families in Kerala. After information two days ago that the two doctors from Kerala who went missing after the earthquake that hit Nepal on Saturday were safe, it was confirmed on Tuesday that they have been found dead in a hospital in Kathmandu.  Three doctors, A S Irshad from Kasargod, Abin Soori from Vadakara and Deepak Thomas from Kannur, who were working at the Primary Health Centre at Edavaka and the District Hospital in Mananthavady, Kerala were on a holiday trip to Nepal. According to the official statement by their parents, the doctors were admitted to Tribhuvan Medical Teaching College Hospital and later succumbed to injuries. They went missing post the earthquake and hospital records revealed that they had been admitted to the hospital. Their bodies were later identified by their parents.  Abin Suriya has also been admitted to an army hospital in Kathmandu with severe injuries. He is expected to be flown to Kerala on Tuesday or Wednesday. It was when Abin informed his family that he was safe, that word spread that the other two were also safe.   Deepak Thomas Irshad
