Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu’s Spyder is all set for release on September 27, amidst a lot of expectations.
While there is no doubt that the film would take the box office in Tollywood by storm, trade analysts opine that it would be the same in the US box office as well.
According to reports, Mahesh Babu still retains the top three slots in the US till now. In fact, reports suggest that three of Mahesh Babu’s films - Brahmotsavam, Srimanthudu and Aagadu - have found their place in the Top 10 Premieres gross till date, which proves his immense popularity among NRIs in the US.
With Spyder gearing up for release in a few days, there is a strong opinion that Mahesh Babu may not only go on to break his own record but also have four of his films making it to the list instead of the existing three.
Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film has Mahesh Babu playing an intelligence officer. He is paired up with Rakul Preet Singh in this spy thriller which also has SJ Suryah and Bharath in the star cast. Harris Jayaraj is the music director for this magnum opus while ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan had wielded the camera and A Sreekar Prasad had edited it.
Made simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil, the movie will mark Mahesh Babu’s debut in the Tamil film industry. The film is also slated to be dubbed and released in Malayalam as the star enjoys huge popularity in Kerala.
It may be mentioned here that Spyder was initially slotted for release on June 23rd but the release was postponed as the filmmakers wanted to fine-tune the climax.
