Every time a smartphone major makes an announcement of their new device, flagship or otherwise, buyers in the Indian market want to know when it would be made available in India. Well there are at least seven different smartphones likely to hit the shelves in the near future. Here’s a quick glance at these phones.

Xiaomi Mi 6

This 5.15-inch full HD display phone with 6GB RAM and the latest Snapdragon 835 processor is one of the most eagerly awaited in the country and it is quite likely that this device will be released in July itself. The phone is also touted as the first without the 3.5mm audio jack and the Xiaomi Mi 6 could be sold in 64GB and 128GB ROM variants.

Moto E4 Plus  

The Moto E4 Plus is a 5.5-inch smartphone and the Indian market has already seen its pair the Moto E4. The rest of the specs of this phone would appear to be in the budget or the mid-segment. These include a 712x1080p HD display, the Snapdragon 427 processor (clocked at 1.4GHz) and 2GB RAM. The internal storage may come in a couple of variants, 16 and 32GB. The 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera do spice up the specs.

Nokia 6

This phone has already been announced earlier for the Indian market also and now the pre-orders will start from the July 14 and can be bought only on Amazon India. The phone has a 5.5-inch full HD display (1080x1920p) and 2.5D curved glass with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the screen. The processor fitted on the Nokia 6 would be Snapdragon 430 and the phone will have 4GB RAM. The ROM is 64GB and provision for microSD card is also made. The cameras are quite decent 16MP in the rear and 8MP in the front.

Nokia 5   

This smartphone will be available even earlier than the Nokia 6 and comes with a 5.2-inch display with a moderate resolution of 720x1080p. The Corning Gorilla Glass protection to the screen is also available. The processor would be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 and supported by 2GB RAM. The internal storage will be 16GB, but can go up to 128GB by adding a microSD card. The OS will be the latest Android 7.1 and the 13MP and 8MP cameras offer good imaging options. The Nokia 5 will be available offline also and is priced at Rs 12, 899.

Gionee A1 Plus

The Gionee A1 Plus will also start selling in India this July and this is a big 6inch phone with 1080x1920 full HD display. Under the hood is a MediaTek Helio P25 SoC with a 4GB RAM support and 64GB ROM. A microSD card can take the storage right up to 265GB which is a plus. The Android Nougat 7.0 will be the OS. It is the 20MP front camera that will steal the show with a dual rear camera setup of 13MP+5MP.

Asus ZenFone AR

Another July release, in the Indian market, the Asus ZenFone AR made heads turn at the CES 2017 when it was revealed as the first smartphone with 8GB RAM. This phone also has 3 cameras in the rear and one in the front. The processor is also decent in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821. The rear cameras are 21MP each from Sony. The phone is expected to be released in 64 and 128GB variants and it sports a 3300mAh battery.

Huawei Honor 8 Pro

The last in this round up, the Huawei Honor 8 Pro has not only a 5.7-inch display, but sports a substantial screen resolution of 1440x2560p. The processor, as expected, will be Huawei’s in-house Kirin 960 amply supported by 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal memory storage. With 12MP cameras and a 4000mAh battery, this smartphone will definitely want to impress many buyers in India.   

Almost all these smartphones are likely to be on the market before the month is out.
