The News Minute | March 10, 2015 | 2:20 pm IST| Updated March 11, 2015| 12.30 am IST Former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav's daughter Misa Bharti faces an allegation of misleading the public, after she claimed that she was invited as a speaker by Harvard University. Bharti also posted pictures of herself, "Giving a lecture" at Harvard, According to an NDTV report, the university responded in an email that Misa Bharti was invited as part of the audience and not as a speaker of any panel and that her attendee status could also be confirmed from her conference ticket as a member of the audience. Photographs uploaded on the 40-year-old RJD politician's Facebook page show her on stage with the caption in Hindi which translates to "Giving a lecture on the role of youth at Harvard." Post by Misa Bharti. Misa Bharti, had also put up a status on March 3, with the photo of the invite saying: "Dear friends... I wish to share with you all that I have been invited by Harvard University to participate in 'India Conference' on 7th and 8th March. While delighted at the prospect of interacting with and sharing our concerns and commitments with great minds from across the world, I must confess this invitation is for all of us who wish to change the grammar of the contemporary politics with just means." Post by Misa Bharti. But Misa Bharti later told Headlines Today that she had been invited as a guest to the India Conference at Harvard, not as a speaker. She insisted that though she handles her Facebook page personally, the picture along with the caption was posted by some overenthusiastic RJD worker. She also told the channel that the picture was misinterpreted. Tweet Follow @thenewsminute
