Kerala Women’s Commission Chairperson KC Rosakutty has said that action will be taken against actor Mammootty and makers of his recent movie Kasaba for the dialogues, which harm the dignity of women.

“We have come to notice that Mammootty gives an unnecessary obscene comment to another policewoman in the movie. It was also pointed to us that many other instances in movie too have misogyny. We will analyse and proper action will be taken,” KC Rosakutty told The News Minute.

The Commission was referring to a specific scene where Zechariah (Mammooty’s character in the movie) is seen grabbing an IPS woman officer by the belt, and mouthing a trashy dialogue about how easily he could make her miss her menstrual cycle.

“I have not watched the movie. But if Mammootty has said all those dialogues in the movie it has to be condemned. He is a senior actor and renowned celebrity; he should not have said those dialogues. If those lines were in the script, he had the power to cut it,” she added.

“Further action will be taken after the members watch and analyse the movie,” she said.

Kasaba released on Friday and has given a record collection so far.
