The News minute | June 18, 2014 | 9:50 AM IST  The Kerala High Court on Tuesday said that state government can continue Operation Kubera, the state's drive against private financiers and loan sharks. This also specifically targets those who lend money at high interest rates. A bench also observed that it cannot interfere with the state's policy on money lending sharks, indirectly giving a go ahead in the operation. The HC was responding to a petition filed by private chit fund companies in the state, that allege that the state government was not allowing them to function properly.  The police continues its crackdown against illegal moneylenders through Operation Kubera, and many were arrested after they seized  incriminating documents.
