The News Minute | September 13, 2014 | 04:29 pm ISTIn a speech that has made the Communist in Kerala see red, BJP state chief V. Muraleedharan has said that the only reason that peace still persists in Kannur despite murder of a RSS member is because of the discipline ingrained in the swayam sevaks working for the RSS and BJP.He praised Manoj Kumar of the RSS, who was murdered on September 1, as a person who had long experience of service. He went on to say that even at the loss of such a fellow colleague, the RSS members have maintained peace. This peace should not be considered as weakness but as our culture that we have learnt and practiced, he added. He warned that to ensure justice his fellowmen needed just an order and that the government should not compel them to adopt such a path. The BJP has been pressing the state government to transfer the investigation pertaining to the murder to the CBI. However, the murderer, Vikraman surrendered before the police on Thursday. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan of the communist party has asked why the police has not chargesheeted V. Muraleedharan for making such a speech. He said that CPM's M.M. Mani was earlier chargesheeted for making a similar speech.
