The official launch of actor Keerthy Suresh’s next Telugu project took place in Hyderabad a few days ago amidst a lot of fanfare. The film will be directed by newbie Narendra and bankrolled by Mahesh Koneru.

The film will star Keerthy in the lead who is thrilled over bagging the prestigious offer.

Keerthy Suresh’s last outing in the Telugu film industry was the biopic on the legendary actor Savitri which earned her name and fame. Speaking the film launch event, the actor, it has been reported by the Deccan Chronicle, said, “After Mahanati, this is my first Telugu project. It is a concept-based film and I believe the story will appeal to all sections of the audience. The film will be majorly shot in the US and it is a heroine-centric one.”

Keerthy made her acting debut in the Malayalam film industry as a child artiste with Pilots and has acted in several films since then.  Her debut as the female lead was again with a Malayalam film and then she forayed into Tamil and Telugu films.

She had a number of film releases last year in Tamil and Telugu including Agnyathavaasi, Sarkar, Mahanati / Nadigayar Thilagam, Saamy 2, and Sandakozhi 2. Keerthy currently has the magnum opus in Malayalam Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham.

She will be sharing the screen space with Mohanlal in this period drama which is being directed by Priyadarshan. Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham also has Prabhu, Suneil Shetty, Manju Warrier, Arjun Sarja, Mukesh and Keerthy Suresh in pivotal roles. It is based on the true life of Kunjali Marakkar IV, who is most popular of the Marakkars.

The film’s shooting is currently on at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.
