Keerthy Suresh’s last outing in the Telugu film industry was the biopic on the legendary actor Savitri which earned her name and fame. Speaking the film launch event, the actor, it has been reported by the Deccan Chronicle, said, “After Mahanati, this is my first Telugu project. It is a concept-based film and I believe the story will appeal to all sections of the audience. The film will be majorly shot in the US and it is a heroine-centric one.”

Keerthy made her acting debut in the Malayalam film industry as a child artiste with Pilots and has acted in several films since then.  Her debut as the female lead was again with a Malayalam film and then she forayed into Tamil and Telugu films.

Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham also has Prabhu, Suneil Shetty, Manju Warrier, Arjun Sarja, Mukesh and Keerthy Suresh in pivotal roles. It is based on the true life of Kunjali Marakkar IV, who is most popular of the Marakkars.

The film’s shooting is currently on at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.
