The News Minute| September 4, 2014| 9.30 am ISTA few weeks ago, the Bangalore police had drafted safety guidelines for schools, after the uproar following a six-year-old's rape in a city school. But many schools were of the opinion that some of the guidelines, including extensive cctv camera installation, was impossible. Hearing a batch of petitions filed by school managements, expressing concerns over the guidelines, the HC warned of criminal action if norms are not complied with.The HC also asked the state government to set up a cell headed by a high ranking police officer to coordinate with schools. The HC chided the Bangalore police for not holding meetings with schools to clarify their issues.The Bangalore police has been asked to submit a report on how the financial burden to implement some of the guidelines can be shared
