Over the last few weeks, the buzz has been building that Kamal Hassan’s much delayed spy thriller, “Vishwaroopam 2”, might make it to the box office even before the release of his upcoming trilingual comedy, “Sabash Naidu”. However, it seems that this is highly unlikely.

It is true that discussions are on about “Vishwaroopam 2”, according to trusted sources. However, the makers haven’t arrived on anything concrete yet regarding the release. It turns out that another 12 days of shooting still remain to be completed, apart from some post-production work. It is, therefore, unlikely that the film will come out this year.

“Three or four combination scenes are yet to be filmed. In the post-production, some VFX work is pending. The makers are in talks with Kamal Hassan and have requested him to wrap up the remaining portion as soon as possible. However, he won’t join the sets until producer Aascar Ravichandran settles his remaining salary (Rs. 10 crore). Moreover, Kamal is focused on completing ‘Sabash Naidu’ first, and then, if time permits and all the dues are settled, he might think of resuming work on ‘Vishwaroopam 2’,” a source said.

Kamal, who recently returned home from hospital after undergoing treatment on his fractured leg, is expected to start work on the second schedule of “Sabash Naidu” from September.
