Even as the Telugu version of the television reality show, Bigg Boss, is yet to be aired, a bigwig from the Telugu film industry has voiced strong opposition, raising many eyebrows.

Ramakrishna, the Chairman of the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce has urged Jr NTR to stay away from the show, claiming that it would hurt his popularity.

Predicting that the reality show would turn out to be a dud, Ramakrishna, a self-professed NTR and Jr NTR fan, was of the opinion that it would put Jr NTR in the centre of controversy.

Stating that the show is against the values of ‘our culture’, he requested the star to move out of the show even before it commenced.

According to Ramakrishna, several stars were approached to take up the Bigg Boss role but they denied, and eventually the show producers managed to get Jr NTR onboard.

Despite his warning, Jr NTR fans are waiting eagerly for the show to be aired as it would give them the opportunity to see their favourite actor on the small screen.

It may be mentioned here that the Tamil version of the show was launched recently and has turned out to be one of the most controversial shows in recent times.

A fringe group, the Hindu Makkal Katchi, has filed a police complaint against show host Kamal Haasan, alleging that Bigg Boss was against their culture, and demanded his arrest for working against the sentiments of Hindus.

Meanwhile, Jr NTR is busy wrapping up the shooting of his upcoming film Jai Lava Kusa, directed by KS Ravindra.

In the movie, he plays triple roles, and the film is slated to hit the marquee during Dusshera this year.
