The News Minute | February 8, 2015 | 11.55 PM ISTJournalist Diptosh Majumdar, who was national affairs editor with NewsX television channel, died Sunday following illness, his colleagues said. He was 56.Majumdar, who was born in 1958, had worked in senior positions both in print and electronic media. He is survived by his wife.He was admitted to Apollo Hospital here with suspected blood cancer.His colleagues said his last rites will take place Monday morning at the Lodhi Road crematorium.Majumdar had also worked as national affairs editor with CNN-IBN news channel. He also worked with The Telegraph and DNA dailies.His last tweet was asking for blood for his treatment. Ok, I need 25 units of blood by Saturday at Apollo Sarita Vihar. The donation time is between 10 am and 5 pm.
