Actor Jayasurya’s wife Saritha could have been a victim of online fraud but was judicious enough to thwart it. Recounting the incident, Jayasurya stated that a fraudster called his wife’s shop claiming that her Facebook account was hacked and she had to shell out Rs 25000 immediately through her PayTM account to regain the account. The caller had asked for the Google verification number which she read out to him, but sensing that something was suspicious she immediately disconnected the call. Later, Saritha Jayasurya’s Facebook account was restored with the help of a tech-savvy friend, Jayasurya recounted.

It is indeed sad that such fraudsters try to cheat the gullible, but this time, Saritha’s timely action saved her from being swindled. Jayasurya also went on to share the mobile number of the fraudster so that the public can be cautious. it is indeed a good gesture by the star to share such information so that people may be aware of such frauds and be well prepared to deal with it.

Saritha Jayasurya is a well-known costume designer running her own design studio in Kerala. She has designed outfits for several leading actors including Jayasurya and Mohanlal.

Jayasurya made his acting debut as a junior artiste in Graama Panchaayathu in 1998 and worked his way up as hero through his hard work. He has acted in a number of movies that fetched him several prestigious awards. Noted among the awards he had received were the Kerala State Film Awards, Filmfare Awards South, Asianet Film Awards etc. Jayasurya has three films in his kitty right now -- Captain directed by Prajesh Sen, Punyalan Private Limited directed by Ranjith Sankar, and Aadu 2 directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas -- all in various stages of production.
