The News Minute | October 17, 2014 | 10.57 am ISTJanata Dal (Secular) MLAs appear to be reclaiming the party from the “father and sons”.For quite some time, there has been a lot of criticism among party members who felt that the party had been reduced to the fiefdom of party supremo H D Deve Gowda and his sons H D Kumaraswamy and H D Revanna. Some time ago, Kumaraswamy had called a meeting of MLAs to address the resentment and a decision had been taken to form a core committee which would make party decisions. Read: The Janata Dal (Secular) has earned itself the nickname, party of the "father-and-sons"Accordingly, a meeting had been held on Thursday, to elect a core committee. The Hindu reported that the legislators of the party had elected several members, but members of Deve Gowda’s family and their loyalists had been left out.Even senior party leaders such as M C Nanaiah and YSV Datta were not members of the core committee, which consists of 11 members and legislators of the party: The committee consists of eleven leaders and legislators, including Basavaraj Horatti, C.S. Puttaraju, Bandeppa Kashampur, H.K.
