With just two days left for Pulsar Suni’s police custody to end, Vipinlal, one of his fellow prisoners has said that he wrote the letter, purportedly written by Suni to actor Dileep, under pressure from Suni and jail officials.

A letter in the name of Pulsar Suni, the prime accused in the actor abduction and assault case, written to actor Dileep, was the recent twist that strengthened the conspiracy theory in the case.

While Vipinlal washed his hands of, Vishnu, an accused in a cheating case and fellow inmate of Suni, said that there was indeed conspiracy in the case. But he said he did not know if any actors were involved in the case.

Meanwhile, Kakkanad Jail Superintendent denied Vipinlal’s allegation. “The investigation has been going on since the beginning of May and none of the prisoners have ever complained about any such pressure tactics from the part of jail officials. I have been going on rounds for the past few days. If something like that had happened then they could have complained to me,“ he told The Times of India.

The letter addressed to Dileep, which was leaked from the jail, had clearly mentioned that Dileep was behind the conspiracy.

Written in the name of Suni, the letter also sought financial support from Dileep and blamed the actor for not arranging an advocate.

Meanwhile, a petition filed by Pulsar Suni seeking dismissal of his police custody alleging torture, was dismissed by the district court.

Suni’s advocate BA Aloor told The News Minute that Suni had been brutally tortured by police and that he would move court again.

“On Monday, the custody period will come to an end and the case will come to court again. Then we would submit statements on custody torture. We may not move for bail as he is insecure outside the jail,” Aloor said.
