Jagapathi Babu is one of the most-wanted character artiste and villain in the south Indian film circuit. He has a number of prestigious projects in various languages to handle and the recent buzz is that the star is in talks to play the baddie in the upcoming Prabhas starrer Jaan.

Apparently, it is an intense role and the film’s director has impressed him with the narration so much so that he has agreed to star in it. An official announcement regarding this project will be done once Jagapathi Babu inks the deal.

Jaan, directed by KK Radha Krishna, is being bankrolled jointly by Gopi Krishna Movies and UV Creations and Chandrasekar Yeleti has penned the story. It is being shot simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, with plans on to release it for Christmas this year. Amit Trivedi has been roped in to compose the tunes for this flick with Manoj Pramahamsa handling the cinematography department.

Jagapathi Babu is currently expecting the release of the magnum opus Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. The film stars Chiranjeevi in the lead role with a bevy of stars in the cast including Amitabh Bachchan Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Tamannaah, Kiccha Sudeep, Pragya Jaiswal and Brahmaji. It is a trilingual that will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The filmmakers are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that they give quality output to the audiences and therefore are working on it meticulously. Jagapathi Babu who was roped in for Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru has been replaced by Prakash Raj, but the reasons are unknown. The actor also has the Kannada film Uppi Rupee and the Bollywood flick Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior in his kitty right now.
