Politicians and influential persons cannot expect a red carpet all the time, and that's exactly what irate airline passengers and staff are heard shouting as they ask Pakistani politician Rehman Malik to apologise for causing a delay in a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight.
A video that shows the pilots and passengers having a conversation whether they want to suffer such injustice for another 68 years has gone viral on the internet.
After facing a delay of two and a half hours, passengers of an Islamabad-bound PIA flight from Karachi, barred Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Rehman Malik and Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) Member of National Assembly Dr Ramesh Kumar Wakwani from boarding the aircraft reports Dawn.
Malik can be seen approaching the jetway that connects the terminal to the aircraft, and he turns back as soon as he hears people shouting at him, asking him to apologise for the delay.
One person can be heard saying, "Malik sahab, You should go back. You should apologise to these passengers. You should be ashamed of yourself... 250 passengers have suffered because of you."
Rehman Malik has taken to Twitter to explain his 'innocence'.
