Intex is a technology products company with Indian roots and has been offering electronic gadgets to the Indian market at affordable prices.
It already has a range of mobile phones in its basket and has added one more by launching a new smartphone, the Intex Aqua Zenith, at just Rs 3, 999 and the two significant attractions are the OS, being the Android Nougat 7.0 version and 4G VoLTE connectivity.
At this price range, it might be difficult to get smartphones with these features. The rest of the specifications, however are quite the same you would find in a low-end budget phone.
The Intex Aqua Zenith will have just 1GB RAM and internal memory of 8GB. However, to make up of the storage requirements the hybrid dual SIM/microSD slot will help the user to take to storage up to 128GB.
The phone’s sizes measure 145mmx72.4mmx9.55mm and the phone’s weight is around 150 grams.
Its display is five inches with a moderate screen resolution of 480x854pixels. The processor on the phone would be a quad-core MediaTek MT6592 and its clocking speed is a meager 1.1GHz.
In the camera sections also, the main rear camera and the front cameras are of 5MP and 2MP respectively and the battery is at 2000mAh. Intex, however, claims that the battery can really last long durations, both in terms of talk time and standby hours. As people buy and use the Intex Aqua Zenith, these claims may get verified.
The company is focused on the markets in the tier II and tier III cities where there might be aspirational customers to switch to smartphones but their preferred range in terms of the phone’s price is generally below Rs 5,000.
Having to pay just Rs 3, 999 for a 5-inch smartphone with 4G VoLTE support and the latest Android Nougat version may augur well for the Intex Aqua Zenith.
