BJP MLA from Hyderabad T Raja Singh on Monday denied charges of making a provocative speech in a bid to promote enmity between two religions. In response to a show cause notice issued by the Dabeerpura police in Hyderabad, the Goshamahal MLA filed a reply through his counsel denying the allegations, a Times of India report adds. There are currently three cases of hate speeches booked against the MLA. The case was registered on July 6, for a provocative speech against Muslims at a gathering of the Hindu Jagran Samhiti (HJS), after it was circulated widely on social media."A case has been registered under Section 153 A and the police are looking into the matter. A video of the speech was uploaded on YouTube by a channel named SR news channel and widely circulated on Facebook and Twitter," Dabeelpura Sub-Inspector, Vijay Bhasker Reddy had earlier told TNM.The complaint was registered by Majlis Bachao Tahreek (MBT) leader Amjed Ullah Khan who said "In his speech, Raja Singh claims that whenever he organizes a Shoba Yatra in Hyderabad, the Hyderabad Police and State government conducts a meeting with Muslim clerics asking them not to wear caps on the day as they refuse to take responsibility for their safety."In the speech, the BJP MLA also mockingly added that the police registers five to six cases, whenever he organizes a rally in Hyderabad. "These remarks clearly show that Raja Singh has no respect or fear of law," the MBT leader had said.
