Huawei unveiled on Wednesday, its sub brand Honor’s next smartphone, the Honor 20i. It is expected that the phone might be launched in other international markets later as the Honor 20 Lite.

The specifications of this new smartphone are as follows: The full HD+ display is 6.21 inches in size with the screen resolution figures of 1080x2340pixels. The screen gets ample real estate with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and just a notch in the water-drop shape on top to house the front selfie camera.

As indicated in the title, Honor has decided to issue a number of combinations of this new smartphone; there is one 4GB RAM variant with 128GB internal storage and three 6GB RAM variants with internal storage of 64GB, 128GB and 256GB respectively. Lastly there’s one Honor 20i AAPE Edition. The octa core processor common to all of these variants of the Honor 20i is Huawei’s inhouse Kirin 710F SoC paired with the Mali G51MP4 GPU. In addition, a GPU Turbo 2.0 feature has been provided to help users with better gaming experience.

The optics section sees a triple camera combination in the rear, the lenses being 24MP, 8MP and 2MP. These are the primary sensor, the ultra-wide camera and the depth sensor respectively. In the front, a massive 32MP camera has been accommodated. The additional features for the front camera include with support for HDR, portrait mode, and face unlock for authentication.

While battery is 3400mAh, there is no fast charging feature. The connectivity and onboard sensor suits are complete, the highlights being the Qualcomm aptX HD audio and the 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Honor 20i comes in different colours, some gradient; Gradient Red, Gradient Blue, and Magic Night Black.

With so many variants, the pricing of these phones also differs; the 4GB/128GB and 6GB/64GB phones have been priced the same at CNY1599 (Rs 16,600); the 6GB/128GB goes for CNY1899 (Rs 19,700) and the last two, the 6GB/256GB and the Honor 20i AAPE Edition have been priced the same at CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs 22,800). The last two will be available in China from May while the other Honor 20i phones are being offered for pre-orders from today, Thursday, April 18 through popular online stores like JD.com.
