Hewlett Packard used the golden opportunity of its presence in the Cannes Film Festival in France to make public three of its new launches in the laptop segment.

The new HP Spectre x2 laptop unveiled at Cannes is a device particularly useful for graphic designers and animation technologists. The Stylus supplied with this laptop has a Windows Ink certification and comes with many built in functions like varying the line weight or shading or coloring. The kickstand provided again helps the artist obtain an angle to work on up to 165°.

The screen size of 12.3-inches with a rich display resolution of 3000x2000pixles and featuring some six million pixels are also features of this laptop that should find favor with the graphic designers. Being a 2-in-1, this HP Spectre x2 laptop also features two cameras a 13MP rear one and a 5MP front one. For good measure, the convertible has an IR camera as well. The series will be run by 7th Gen Intel CPUs. The battery is expected to deliver around eight hours of normal usage and fast charging technology is integrated in the device. A responsive glass trackpad ensures smooth operation and the supply pack includes a detachable external keyboard as well, apart from the Stylus pen.

Of the other laptops launched at Cannes is the premium convertible HP Envy x360. This 15.6-inch device is being released with multiple configurations, which include the CPU options from Intel or AMD and also color variants. The Envy x360 has a 16GB RAM and is also supplied with the high precision Stylus pen with Windows Ink support. The convertible laptop has been given a unibody aluminum clamshell or chassis.

Apart from these two HP also unveiled two more laptops, the Envy 13 and Envy 17 at the same event. With 8GB RAM and a latest generation i5 Intel processor, the new HP Envy 13 is quite light in weight at just 2.72 pounds and the battery, once fully charged, can offer up to 14 hours of working. For a portable device like the users would be very happy to take it out without worrying about the charging part.

The HP Envy 17, on the other hand, is a much heavier machine weighing 6.73 pounds, but it is otherwise endowed with all the features one would look for in a device of this kind. These include 16GB of RAM and 1TB HDD, a special Nvidia GeForce 940MX graphics card that helps the users enjoy some vivid gaming experience and so on. The processor is also the Intel i7 chip and an edge to edge full HD display touchscreen. The Microsoft Universal Pen stylus, IR Camera for biometric authentication (with Windows Hello support) and password-free login round up the features of the HP Envy 17.

Of all these devices, the only product already available for sale on the shelves or online now is the HP Envy 17 and its price starts at $1099.99. The other products will be made available in the market from next month, June’2017. The prices indicated of these laptops are: HP Spectre x2 will begin from $999.99; the HP Envy x360 at $699.99 and the price of the HP Envy 13 will also start from $999.99.
