The news and media industry have so far been the ones to take the hardest hit. With newspapers shutting down their print editions to go online, the news industry is rapidly changing its look. Compared to other countries, the news website scene in India is still evolving.ComScore Media Matrix service in its October 2013 report says that the total unique visitors to Indian news websites grew to 45.9 million in August 2013,  from 40 million in August 2012. While unique visitors seem to have been risen by 15 per cent rise a year, total visits to Indian news websites has recorded 40 percent growth a year.India is set to see a burst of brand new news websites in the coming months. Most mainstream media-houses already have online portals as well, but the new up and coming websites are going to be exclusively online. Here are some news sites that are in the making and are ready to make the grand entry to World Wide Web: Quintillion Media website by Raghav BahlThe founder of Network 18 who walked out ig the group in May this year has set up a new company called the Quintillion Media Pvt Ltd that will soon launch a news website in India. Bahl and his wife Ritu Kapur will head the venture that will bring a mix of news, videos and opinion. Bahl who walked out of TV 18 with around 700 crore has set up his office in New Delhi. Though the website is expected to be launched only by end of the first quarter next year, a 20 member team consisting of editorial, marketing and brand management has already started working on the look and feel of the site. Toral Varia who has worked with CNN IBN, Outlook and Al Jazeera has joined Quint as Associate Editor and Jaskirat Bawa, journalist previously with Headlines Today has also joined Catch.CatchFounded by Rajasthan Patrika group, with Shoma Chaudhury, the former-editor of Tehelka leading the editorial, Catch is going to be a website focusing on hard news. Kunal Mujumder, Chaudhury’s colleague in Tehelka who later worked for a while with DNA has joined her in this venture as well. The website is looking to be launched sometime in early 2015.Huffington Post India: The well known American news portal, known for its lifestyle, news and news aggregation, is coming to India soon. In August 2014, Huffington Post and Times of India officially announced that the website will be launched by end of 2014.Targeting India's rapidly expanding internet user base, which is expected to reach 370 million by 2015, HuffPost India will cover everything from politics, media and entertainment to technology, religion and lifestyle, and "open up its blogging platform to anyone in the country with a story to tell", said a joint statement issued by the Times Group and Huffington Post. The announcement of the tie-up was made by Arianna Huffington, president and editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post Media Group, and Satyan Gajwani, CEO of TIL. The current 12 member editorial team will be lead by Sruthijith KK, the current editor of Quartz India(also another news site). The website is set to launch in India on the by end of year, or early next year.Former Editor-in-chief of Indian Express and Consulting Editor with the India today group Shekhar Gupta is also said to be actively pursuing plans to set up a new website. Though there were rumours that Nandan Nilekani would fund the venture, the buzz in the market currently is that the partnership may not happen.It is not just these new ventures, but existing news websites too are going for a revamp. Hindustan Times has already announced that their new site will have a better user interface. Indiatimes.com has released the beta version of their revamped site.
