Sharwanand is one busy actor who picks good scripts in Tamil as well as Telugu. The star is currently busy shooting for the Telugu remake of the hit Tamil film 96. The shooting of this film is reported to be happening in Kenya. C Prem Kumar, who had directed the original version, is wielding the megaphone for this venture as well with Dil Raju bankrolling the project under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations.
As the shooting for this film progresses, latest reports have stated that Sharwanand has signed on for a Tamil film. The movie will be produced by SR Prabhu and directed by a debutant, whose name has not yet been revealed. Further details of the film, including the female lead and the rest of the cast and crew is expected to be announced shortly.
The Tamil film 96 turned out to be one of the biggest hits last year following which its remake rights for Telugu and Kannada have been lapped up. 96 starred Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha as the lead pair. The film received widespread appreciation from film buffs, critics and film personalities. It was bankrolled by Nandagopal under the Madras Enterprises banner. Govind Vasantha had composed music for 96.
It may be noted here that Sharwanand also has another Telugu project in his kitty. The film is directed by Sudheer Varma and bankrolled by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the banner Sithara Entertainments. Sharwanand is paired opposite Kajal Agarwal in this flick. The team had recently completed a schedule in Spain and with this, a major portion of the film has been completed Earlier stills from the film were leaked online creating quite a stir. Sharwanand was seen sporting a beard and reports are that it is just one of his looks in the film. The star is playing a double role in this movie.
