In the cycle of evolution, one of our ancestors has shown more humanity than perhaps most humans we may have come across.Take a look at this remarkable video of a brave and loyal monkey. After his friend got electrocuted by a high tension wire at the Kanpur railway station, this simian came to his rescue. He put in all its efforts to revive the fallen monkey, hitting and biting him to make it regain consciousness. When that effort failed, he dipped him in a puddle of water and finally, after a prolonged 20 minutes of struggle, his friend woke up.The many bystanders captured the hero’s brave act on video for posterity. Funny it is, getting such lessons in love and humanity from the species we often make fun of. Let us hope a percentage of the love, compassion and bravery on display during this monkey business gets passed on to us humans eventually.(Video courtesy: Odn)
