The News Minute | January 29, 2015 | 12.20 pm IST“Ladies and Gentlemen, please give it up for your roastmaster this evening, a pilot, a sailor, an actor, a model ,an architect are all men he would happily f*** “It was a scandalous introduction that could normally have sent Karan Johar scrambling for cover.Comedy group, All India Bakchod are well -known for their relatively modern sense of humour. But this time, their knockout ‘Roast’ involving Arjun Kapoor and Ranvir Singh have surpassed their own high standards. From Karan Johar admitting (jokingly, ofcourse) his sexual orientation to Arjun Kapoor taking it all in as he was publicly mocked for his talent in entering the industry without any connections (haha!), the AIB crew along with some special guests had some 4000 member Mumbai audience in splits. Its filthy, rude and offensive, and if you can’t handle that, please leave, says host Karan Johar who easily stole the show with his quick retorts.A concept first thought of in 1949, the roast as we know it is an event where the guests are at the receiving end of jokes at their expense intended to amuse and entertain the audience. A relatively old form of comedy, ‘The Roast of Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh’ involved each of the panel members taking their best shot at the two stars.  Ashish Shakya, Abish Mathew, Gursimran Khamba, Tanmay Bhat, Rohan Joshi, Raghu Ram, Rajeev Masand and the only female member on the panel Aditi Mittal each made their best attempt at ridiculing the actors and each other, all taken in amazingly good sport. The two stars might have got the pounding of their lives, but it was magic on stage when they took their turn in giving it back to their hosts, especially Raghu Ram.Kudos to AIB for introducing Indian audiences to this genre of offensive comedy. From extremely graphic sex discussions involving everyone on the panel to talking about one’s sexual orientation(gay and straight), comedy like this reassures one that Indians for once don't really find everything under the sun offensive. !Drop all your work, and watch this now. It will make your day. Or maybe break it. TweetFollow @thenewsminute
