If the social media rumours are anything to go by, filmmaker Shankar has finally completed the talkie portion of this year’s much awaited release 2.o, which stars superstar Rajinikanth in the lead, and is a sequel to his own 2010 blockbuster Enthiran.
According to the latest reports, the film’s shooting was completed earlier this week and the makers have locked October 18 as the release date. When we did some digging, it has been revealed that while a majority of the talkie portion has been completed, the team still has a few days of shoot left.
The first teaser is being planned to be launched on April 14 on the occasion of Tamil New Year and the audio launch is likely to happen in August. With the post-production work already underway, the team is working round the clock to deliver the film on time. As many as 20 VFX studios from around the globe are working on the film which features Rajinikanth in a triple role.
Also starring Amy Jackson, Akshay Kumar as the antagonist and Sudhanshu Pandey, the film is being made on a budget of Rs 400 crore.
