Basking in the success of Pyaar Prema Kadhal, which has been received very well, actor Harish Kalyan is ready with his next film. The yet-untitled project will be directed by Ranjith Jeyakodi, who had previously directed the thriller Puriyatha Puthir with Vijay Sethupathi.

According to a report by Times of India, Harish plays a biker as well as boxer in this film. The film has been extensively shot in Chennai and Ladakh, and it also stars Shilpa Manjunath as the leading lady.

Talking to Times of India, Ranjith said: “My first film, Puriyatha Puthir, was a thriller. But this one is an out-and-out romantic project. However, I have not approached the film in a stereotypical manner. Doing away from his chocolate boy image, Harish plays a stubborn guy in this film. He is a boxer as well as biker. He even took some boxing lessons before we started shoot. But the film is not about a boxer’s life. Shilpa plays a fashion designing student.”

The film also stars Ma Ka Pa Anand and Bala Saravanan in important roles. The makers are planning to announce the title soon. If everything goes as planned, the film will be released in the next couple of months.

Meanwhile, Harish is also said to have signed two more new projects following the runaway success of Pyaar Prema Kadhal, which has struck gold at the box-office.

Pyaar Prema Kaadhal a breezy romantic entertainer with loads of comedy is doing well at the box office. The film stars Harish Kalyan and Raiza Wilson as the lead pair. The movie which is set on the backdrop of the city has Harish playing the role of an innocent middle-class guy and Raiza as an outgoing girl.

The film also stars Rekha, Anand Babu, Raja Rani Pandian and Porkodi in the supporting cast. Written and directed by Elan, the film is bankrolled by Yuvan Shankar Raja, SN Rajarajan and Irfaan Malik under the banners YSR Films and K Productions. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed music for this venture with Raja Bhattacharjee cranking the camera and S Manikumaran editing it.
