Now Indian medicine will receive a major boost in Germany, as an action plan to promote Ayurvedic practices in the nation’s integrated Health plan is already underway according to a Mathrubhumi news report on Saturday. 

This was confirmed by Dr. Thomas Rampp, Head of the Institute of Naturopathy, Traditional Chinese and Indian Medicine under the Duisburg Essen University who along with his team is now on a two-day visit to the Kottakal town in the Malappuram district of Kerala, known for its traditional expertise in Ayurveda.

Backed by over 15 years of research and practice in this field by his institute, Dr. Rampp said that he was here as part of their plan to promote Ayurveda in a big way in Germany. Presently under the chair of the Natural Medicine & Integrated Medicine of the Duisburg Essen University, a hospital is run as well as a basic course in Ayurveda is offered for study.
